Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter at room temperature (12 Tbsp or 1.5 sticks)
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 tsp grated orange zest
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg room temperature
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp fine sea salt
  • 0.75 cups white chocolate chips
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries coarsely chopped or substitute 1 cup dried cranberries

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add egg, zest, and vanilla, mixing well.
  3. Mix in flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined. Stir in cranberries and chocolate chips.
  4. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place 2 inches apart on baking sheets.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden. Cool on wire rack.

Notes

For chewier cookies, slightly underbake and let cool on the baking sheet.
