  • 1 tablespoon honey optional
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

  1. Rinse cranberries and combine with orange zest, juice, sugar, spices, salt, and water in a saucepan.
  2. Simmer over medium heat until cranberries pop, then reduce heat and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in walnuts and honey, then cool for 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

This relish can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator to enhance flavors.
