Method
- Preheat oven to 375° F.
- Grease baking sheet or line with parchment paper.
- Cream butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla until light and fluffy.
- Mix in flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt until incorporated. Don't overmix.
- Stir in the chocolate chips or chocolate chunks.
- Scoop cookie dough into balls and arrange on baking sheet.
- Bake at 375° F for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Cool cookies on the sheet for at least 3 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
Notes
For chewier cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
