FOR THE STRAWBERRIES
  • 1 lb fresh strawberries choose large, firm ones with bright green tops
  • 12 oz orange candy melts or white chocolate + orange food coloring
  • 1 tsp coconut oil or shortening optional, for smoother melting
FOR THE “DIRT” BASE (OPTIONAL)
  • 12 chocolate sandwich cookies like Oreos, crushed
  • 6 chocolate peanut butter cups or chocolate disks optional, for added texture
FOR DECORATION
  • 2–3 tbsp melted orange chocolate set aside for drizzling
  • 1 Piping bag or zip-top bag with a tiny corner snipped off

Method
 

  1. Wash and dry strawberries thoroughly.
  2. Melt chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Thin with oil if needed.
  3. Dip strawberries in melted chocolate and place on parchment paper.
  4. Pipe vertical lines on strawberries to mimic pumpkin ridges.
  5. Crush cookies for 'dirt'. Arrange strawberries on top with peanut butter cups.

Notes

Ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to help the chocolate adhere properly.
