Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8x8 inch baking pan.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, cocoa, and salt.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Gradually stir in flour until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Stir in chocolate chips (if using).
- Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with fudgy crumbs.
- Let cool completely in pan before cutting into squares.
- Decorate with white and brown icing to resemble footballs. Add laces with icing
Notes
For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake them. Be careful not to burn the butter while melting.
