Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in eggs, then stir in vanilla.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Drop a large mound of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges.
- Let cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For an extra chewy cookie, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
