Method
- Wash and completely dry apples. Insert sticks and place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Combine sugar, corn syrup, and water in a heavy-bottom saucepan over medium-high heat. Do not stir.
- Boil until the mixture reaches 150°C (300°F) using a candy thermometer.
- Remove from heat and stir in food coloring, vanilla extract (optional), and glitter.
- Tilt the pan and dip each apple, twirling for even coating. Let excess drip off.
- Place coated apples on the baking sheet, ensuring they don't touch.
- Sprinkle additional glitter while the coating is still sticky (optional).
- Cool completely before serving (30 minutes to an hour).

Use a candy thermometer for accurate temperature and perfect candy consistency.
