Ingredients
  

Dry ingredients
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
Wet ingredients
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 15 ounce can pumpkin puree
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional) optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two loaf pans.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Combine wet ingredients in another bowl.
  3. Gradually add dry to wet, mixing until just combined. Fold in nuts if using.
  4. Pour batter into pans and bake for 50-60 minutes. Cool before slicing.
