Method
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- Dissolve strawberry halal gelatin in boiling water. Stir in cold water and oil.
- Add cake mix and eggs to the halal gelatin mixture. Beat until well combined.
- Gently fold in sliced strawberries.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden skewer comes out clean.
- Let cake cool completely in the pan before frosting.
- Frost the cooled cake with chocolate frosting.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings and fresh strawberries, if desired.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate frosting.
