Method
- Preheat oven to 350ºF.
- Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla. Beat again.
- Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Beat until uniform.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Place dough balls on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on wire rack.
Notes
For a softer cookie, slightly underbake them. Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
