- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl. Set aside.
- Beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy and smooth.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add flour mixture to wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, until edges are golden brown and centers are set.
- Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra chewy cookies, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
